Plague Doctor Mask

So apparently I've been operating under the mistaken impression that everybody knows what this is, but I've asked a couple of people and none of them had any idea. So, I shall now explain this. It's one of the masks that the doctors wore during the big bubonic plauge outbreak, also known as the Black Death. The doctors believed that it would protect them from catching the plague. Needless to say, it didn't work.

Materials used:
Craft foam
Black and brown shoe polish (rubbed on the foam to create the leather-like look)
Black acrylic paint (for aging around the seams)
Black cotton thread
Black fabric (under the lenses)
Plastic sheets (the lenses)

As should be obvious by the materials used, this is by no means historically accurate. But a whole lot of fun. Many episodes of Black Butler were watched while I was sewing and aging.
